Track Kitchen is a local landmark in Aiken, SC. Open from 7am-12pm, Mrs. Carol has been serving southern-style homecooked breakfast since 1978. This “no frills” eatery is a favorite for the thriving equestrian community of Aiken. Watching Mrs. Carol prepare meals for an entire restaurant is mesmerizing. You have to come into the kitchen to make your own coffee so it’s easy to start a conversation with her as she cooks. This photo was taken just before the start of business at around 6:45am.
